– I can’t find a spiritual guide and I have been living without spiritual guidance for five years already. In order to see myself from the outside, I started to keep a diary, where I put down all my spiritual questions. In some time, I discovered that I began to receive answers to my questions: from the quotes of the Holy Fathers and some Orthodox articles on the Internet, from conversations with different people, and from the sermons of the priests serving in our city. This is so amazing: does God Himself guide my spiritual life? Is this possible? What should I do now: continue to seek a spiritual father or keep my diary and see the will of God in the circumstances of my life? 

– It is not safe to be on your own. It will be safer if someone will look at you from the outside. Seeking answers to your questions in various sources is not enough and not very reliable. You may get lost while seeking. That is why you should find a guide.
