1. THE CHURCH OF THE IVERON ICON OF THE HOLY THEOTOKOS
February 25 is the day of the translation of a copy of the Iveron icon to the monastery in Valdai. This copy was painted by an Athonite iconographer for the Iveron Monastery in Valdai, which is the exact copy of the one on Mount Athos.
May 6 is the day of the second uncovering of the copy. In 2012, the icon was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church with honor and celebration and was placed at the Novo-Devichi Convent, where it had been since 1648. During the soviet times, after the convent was closed, the holy icon was stored in the funds of the State Historical Museum.
October 26 is the day of solemn meeting, when the Iveron icon arrived in Moscow in 1648.
Tuesday of Bright Week – as legend has it, the monks of the Iveron Monastery on Athos saw the icon of the Holy Theotokos approaching them by the water on this very day.
2. THE CHURCH OF THE VENERABLE SAINT SERAPHIM OF SAROV
January 15 is the day of Saint Seraphim’s passing away to God in 1833 and the second uncovering of his relics in 1991.
August 1 is the day of the uncovering of Saint Seraphim’s holy relics and the day of his canonization in 1903.
3. CHURCH OF THE VENERABLE SAINT MARY OF EGYPT
April 14 is the day of Saint Mary’s passing away to God.
On Wednesday evening of the Fifth Week of Great Lent, during matins, the Church reads the life of Saint Mary. This service is called “Saint Mary’s Standing.”
On the Fifth Sunday of Great Lent the Church represents the image of a true repentance in the Venerable Saint Mary of Egypt and revives the spirits of those who repent sincerely, so that they have hope for the mercy of God.
4. THE CHURCH OF THE VENERABLE SAINT SERGIUS OF RADONEZH
July 18 is the day of commemoration of the uncovering of Saint Sergius’ holy relics in 1422.
October 8 is the day of Saint Sergius’ passing away to God in 1392.
July 19 is the celebration of the Synaxis of All Saints of Radonezh, led by the Venerable Sergius.
5. THE CHURCH OF THE VENERABLE SAINT GABRIEL URGEBADZE
November 2 is the day of Saint Gabriel’s passing away to God in 1995.
6. THE CHURCH OF THE VENERABLE SYMEON THE NEW THEOLOGIAN
March 25 is the day of Saint Symeon’s passing away to God in 1021.
7. THE CHURCH OF SAINT JOHN, THE WONDERWORKER OF SHANGHAI AND SAN FRANCISCO
July 2 is the day of Saint John’s passing away to God in 1966.
October 12 is the day of the uncovering of his holy relics in 1993.
